James Forsher PhD

My journey in the public sector began decades ago, not in a classroom, but in the heart of Oakland, California where I served as the founding director of a transitional housing program. That experience taught me early on that a noble mission requires more than just passion; it requires a strategic voice and the ability to navigate the complex intersections of community needs, government policy, and sustainable funding.

 

Since then, I have bridged the gap between academia and the real world—serving not only as a founding director of a non-profit, but as a Mayoral Aide, a Fulbright Scholar, a college professor and a documentary producer with over 100 nationally aired programs. This unique blend of PhD-level research, community building and high-impact media production has prepared me to help your non-profit translate its complex goals into compelling narratives that resonate with donors, policymakers, and the public alike.
